Headband/Swatch Complete

Hi, All. I got some free time this last week, so I was able to get the swatch done. I'm pretty happy with the colors and yarn.

I'm getting 5.5 stitches to the inch with size US3 needles. I'm using Jaggerspun 8/3 wool yarn. It's going to be a long knit, that's for sure, since I'm kind of wide and tall. I'm going to knit the crew neck version but also making it a cardigan, so I'll be steeking the front, too. I've never steeked, so this is going to be a challenge. I love a good challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing.

Oh, Tracy -- I love the look of that! The multi-yarn looks fabulous with the stark white.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

what's the pattern color? It's really cool how the colors shift. It reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on what. Kindof like the thing where you color then color black on top of it and scratch it off, but I don't think that's it.

Anyway, it is really cool.

Hello my fellow cardigan-steeker.

I love the multi-color effect. Saw the photos of your yarn on Yahoo and couldn't picture how it was going to look. It's really cool!

Hi, All. Thanks for the comments. Donna, I can't tell you the pattern color. I just dyed the yarn with a random bunch of jewel tones. There's a pic on my blog at:http://sisypheanranch.blogspot.com/ that shows the balls of yarn. I really think it turned out pretty fun. Plus, I can be lazy and not worry about changing colors. Just 2 yarns and knit.

Oh cool, hand dyed is even better! It's beautiful with the short bits of color.
